eonatal Blood Pressure Regulation
نویسنده
چکیده
ypertension is often viewed solely as a disease of the adult. However, early indicators of hypertenion are frequently observed in young children and neonates. Having an adequate appreciation of the ormal range of infant blood pressure is critical for the appropriate management of the conditions ssociated with elevated or abnormally low blood pressure. In healthy neonates, systolic blood ressure increases rapidly during the first 6 weeks of life with the most rapid rise observed during the rst 5 days. A similar pattern is observed for diastolic pressures. The observed increases in blood ressure are positively correlated with birth weight and both gestational and postnatal age. The ncidence of hypertension in the neonate has been reported to range from 0.2% to 2.6% and is requently an indicator of other renal or cardiovascular abnormalities. Systemic hypotension is eported in 24% to 45% of very low birth weight infants and is frequently caused by hypovolemia. The egulation of blood pressure is complex and the mechanisms involved remain to be fully elucidated. he results of several investigations into the molecular mechanism(s) of hypertension are considered. 2004 Elsevier Inc. The Effect of Nucleus Tractus Solitarius Nitric Oxidergic Neurons on Blood Pressure in Diabetic Rats
It has been shown that nitric oxide is synthesized in the central nervous system as well as in vascular endothelial cells. Recently, it was reported that nitric oxide was involved in central cardiovascular regulation, baroreflex modulation, and involved in a reciprocal release with excitatory amino acids in the nucleus tractus solitarii of rats. The purpose of the present study was to investiga...
متن کاملEffect of Reversible Inactivation of the Kolliker Fuse Nucleus on Basal Blood Pressure and Heart Rate in Anesthetized Rat
Introduction: Several supra spinal areas such as rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM) area are involved in basic cardiovascular regulation. The Kolliker— Fuse nucleus (KF) is located in pons and is heavily connected with RVLM. The cardiovascular effect of KF nucleus has been shown and it is suggested that KF is involved in sympathetic vasomotor tone and basic cardiovascular regulation. Therefor...
متن کاملThe effect of glutaminergic system on cardiovascular regulation of rat
Introduction: The bed nucleus stria terminalis (BST) is a part of the limbic system, which plays a role in regulation of heart beat and blood circulation. It was recently shown that microinjection of L-glutamate in the BST elicits cardiovascular depressive, but the role of glutamate receptor subtypes has not been investigated yet. In this study, the role of glutamate receptor subgroups in regul...

The osmoregulatory system was studied in wild adult and reared juvenile Persian sturgeon, Acipenser persicus. The mean osmolarity in blood serum of specimens from the Caspian Sea, estuary, the Kouraneski pools and the rearing tanks were 305.3±14.3, 308.7±25.8, 265.0±19.1 and 259.3±8.8 mosmol/L, respectively; the mean concentrations of Na+ were 151.2±6.3, 152.2±8.4, 142.5±5.9 and 131.4±4.1 meq/L...
